After announcing his departure from Bayern Munich, manager Jupp Heynckes was hoping to go out with a bang. Instead, the Bavarians were the victims of an inspired Stuttgart performance.

Having previously gone over two years without being beaten at the Allianz, Bayern were stunned 4-1 by Stuttgart on Heynckes' last Bundesliga game in charge.

A Daniel Ginczek brace and tidy finishes from Anastosios Donis and Chadrac Akolo made Corentin Tolisso's equaliser but a consolation.

Champions of Germany nonetheless, their shock defeat to Stuttgart is a simple, unwanted blemish on another formidable season. Bayern will contest the German Cup final on Saturday with Eintracht Frankfurt as they go in search of a German double.

The Bavarians refused to let the loss put a downer on their title celebrations as they celebrated their sixth Bundesliga triumph.
