Bayern close to securing Kimmich's future with long-term deal

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are close to extending the contract of midfielder Joshua Kimmich. Negotiations between the club and the 29-year-old Germany international are at an advanced stage, with a new deal expected to be finalised in the coming days.

According to sources, the proposed deal would keep Kimmich at the Allianz Arena through at least 2028, solidifying his place as a pivotal player in Bayern's long-term strategy. The deal appears to have a general framework in place, despite certain details still needing to be finalised.

Contrary to persistent rumours linking Kimmich with Real Madrid and Liverpool, Plettenberg claims that there were never any concrete talks with these clubs.

This fact puts an end to speculation about Kimmich's future and reaffirms his commitment to the Bavarian giants, similar to what happened with Canadian Davies.
