Barcelona's objetive is 'to win the Champions League', says Ronald Araujo

Barcelona's Uruguayan centre-back Ronald Araujo said on Wednesday that his goal for the season is to "win the Champions League", with just under a week to go before the second leg of the last-16 tie against Napoli.

The Uruguayan's statements were made after the presentation of 'Origins Araujo', a documentary about his beginnings that will be released on the club's new streaming platform, 'Barca One', in the coming weeks.

"Despite the injuries to some very important players, we have a very good group of players," said the defender about the recent injuries to Pedri Gonzalez and Frenkie de Jong, which come on top of others such as Pablo Paez Gavira 'Gavi', for example.

Araujo pointed out that the team "started the season with four titles to play for and now there are only two left, La Liga and the Champions League", but stressed that "they are very important".

On the second leg of the last 16 tie against Napoli, which will be played next Tuesday in Barcelona, he assured that the squad "will give their all until the end". "We played a good game in Italy and we deserved to win," said the centre-back, who focused on the fact that "we are playing at home".

On a personal note, he considers it "a dream" to win the Champions League, although he indicates that, first, "we have to take it step by step" and "focus on Tuesday's game".
