Barcelona confirm Inigo Martinez sidelined with knee injury

The Barcelona centre-back saw out the entirety of Sunday's match against Atletico Madrid but left the Metropolitano with discomfort. Following tests carried out on the player, the Catalans have now confirmed the extent of the injury.
"Tests this morning confirmed that first-team player Inigo Martínez has lateral meniscus inflammation in his right knee. He will be treated in Barcelona under the supervision of the Club’s medical staff," reads a statement from the club.
According to 'Diaro AS', the 32-year-old will remain sidelined for two to three weeks. Hansi Flick will hope to welcome him back into the squad after the March international break ahead of a crucial end to the campaign.
In the meantime, Inigo Martinez has been ruled out from the Spain national team squad for the Nations League quarter-final tie against the Netherlands, with Bournemouth's Huijsen receiving a call-up to replace him.
