Barca will lift the trophy at home on Saturday

Barcelona will receive the league trophy on Saturday at the Camp Nou, as the team mathmatically won the league after beating local rivals Espanyol last Sunday (2-4). The club confirmed they will be given the title after their game against Real Sociedad.

After the game, the Catalan players will remain on the pitch and the captain, Sergio Busquets, will go up to the presidential box where the president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Football, Luis Rubiales, will hand over the trophy.

The midfielder will return to the pitch with the trophy and will join his teammates for photos. This will be followed by speeches by coach, Xavi Hernandez, and Busquets before the players take a lap of honor.

Barcelona also stated that before the game there would be a minute's silence in memory of former Barcelona player Ferran Olivella and the former president of Real Sociedad Inaki Alkiza, who both recently passed away.
