Barca to go for Christensen if Umtiti requires surgery

Umtiti's injury problems have plgued Barcelona throughout the season, especially seeing as the Frenchman has come to show his talent in the 'Azulgrana' back-four.
The defender could be forced to undergo surgery however if the problems with his left knee persist, which would mean manager Ernesto Valverde will be without his services for an extended period.
Hence, according to 'Sport', Barcelona could target Andreas Christensen as a replacement, though Chelsea will not make obtaining his signature an easy task.
In fact, 'Blues' director Marina Granovskaia will reportedly reject any attempt from Barca to open talks with the player, as the club value the Denmark international highly.
So far this season, Christensen has played just five times with a total of 500 minutes on the field, despite making 40 appearances under former boss Antonio Conte in the previous campaign.
