Barca interested in USA youngster Busio

Despite being focussed on the current season, Barca have got their eyes on several players for next season. They are looking to see whether they can get any promising youngsters. 

There is a player for Sporting KC who is really standing out. It is 18 year-old midfielder Gianluca Busio. 

'Sport' says that Barca are watching him closely ahead of a possible attempt to sign him. The aim is no other than to bring him into the B-team for him to develop. 

However, there is a problem. Other top level European clubs have already got their eyes on him. He is catching players attention and that has aroused interest from Bayern as well as Premier League and Serie A clubs. 

He has very good attributes: he controls the ball well, he is key when it comes to the final pass... The Catalan paper says that Barca have had him on their agenda for a year and the funny thing is he could become the third American player after Dest and Konrad. 

Likewise, the cited source says that the player has expressed interest in playing for the Catalan giants. He did so in an interview with Quim Miro just over a month back: "I'd like to play for Barca."

In fact, Busio admitted he had been approached: "Barca have not contacted me personally, but maybe with my agent. I understand there's interest and for me it would be very difficult for me to refuse the offer if it ends coming to fruition."

In the whole of 2020, the midfielder has scored two goals and given four assists after playing 23 matches.
