Barca consider Bailly in their search for a centreback

Eric Bailly is second choice at Manchester United. In the current season, he has only made seven appearances. He has been troubled by injury, but his reputation remains intact.
The 'Daily Star' has reported that Eric Bailly is a name on Barcelona's summer shopping list. The Catalan giants are looking for a centreback and the United man is someone who interests both the sporting director and coaching team at the club.
In order to secure his signature, the 'Daily Star' estimates that Barca will have to pay 35 million euros to United. This is a similar figure to one the Red Devils paid to Villarreal for his services in 2017.
Bailly has a contract at United until 2024. The club also has the option to extend this for a further year should they wish.
However, the clear absence of the Ivorian in Rangnick's plans points at a probable exit. If Barca make a strong offer, United would not have too many qualms in seeing the player return to La Liga.
Koulibaly is another name on Barca's long list of potential centreback signings. Napoli will ask for 70 million euros should Barcelona want to bring him in. Christensen is a cheaper option however, as he could arrive for free because his contract at Chelsea expires this summer.
