Barca announce squad for Champions League semi-final clash with Inter

Barcelona confirmed their squad on Monday morning for the crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan, where a place in the final is at stake. 

The main news is the return of Robert Lewandowski, who has recovered from a thigh injury and rejoined group training, providing a timely boost for Hansi Flick’s side. Lewandowski’s experience could prove vital, although he is expected to start on the bench as a precaution.

Flick’s only real selection doubt concerns the left-back position, Alejandro Balde remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury and will not feature in Milan. Jules Kounde is also absent after suffering a distal injury to the biceps femoris in his left thigh.

Youth players Landry and Darvich have been included to complete the squad list, reflecting Barcelona’s reliance on academy talent during a demanding campaign. The tie is finely poised after a 3-3 draw in the first leg, meaning Barcelona must win at San Siro to secure a place in the Champions League final.
