"Barca and Al Sadd are in talks; I'm excited about returning home"

It was not news which had been leaked or rumours. Xavi Hernandez gave a press conference after Al Sadd's 3-3 draw with Al Duhail and he revealed that he wants to return to Barcelona. The board travelled to Qatar to try and get the club to let him leave, he has a contract, and he himself, in his press conference, admitted that he hopes it done. 

"I don't know what is going to happen, the two clubs are in conversations and we will see what happens. I'm positive. I hope a solution is reached. I hope a solution is reached. I'm very excited to return home and I hope that happens. We will keep on talking. There has to be common sense. It is about making a team, group and positiveness. There is a team to do interesting things," he said. 

"It's exciting and spectacular that Barcelona are coming here," he added. His point of view remained clear. He loved the fact that Joan Laporta's board insist so much in him and he wants to Al Sadd to take a step to one side. That has not happen up to now. An official statement made that obvious after Barca's visit.
