Babel struck to rain on France's parade

Kylain Mbappe's first-half opener looked to have set France on their way to victory at the Stade de France, only for Holland to hit back against the run of play after the break.

The hosts had dominated the game, having more possession, better chances and never truly looking in danger, but one momentary lapse in concentration saw them pegged back.

Memphis Depay was allowed to race away from his marker down the right, with the former Manchester United man crossing low into the middle.

Babel, playing out on the left, came to life, darting across Benjamin Pavard to meet the delivery and bundle home with what appeared to be his knee.

Alphonse Areola in the home goal got a hand to it, but couldn't keep it from finding the back of the net.
