Atletico Madrid aim to get Hofmann in midfield

Atletico Madrid will make an investment in the next transfer window to improve the squad which is also missing some players. In fact, Hector Herrera's absence was confirmed a few days back. 

It is for that reason that Atletico Madrid are looking ahead to the transfer window to try and get some players who could have a good impact on play and on Simeone's ideas. 

According to 'Sport Bild', the latest target is Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Jonas Hofmann, who was also on Bayern Munich's agenda. 

Signing him will not be too difficult as his contract expires in 2023 and it will be the last chance for Gladbach to get money on him if the 29 year-old decides not to renew his contract.

This season, Jonas Hofmann has made 21 appearances, 20 of them starts. He has scored eight goals and given three assists, data which make clear how well he is playing.
