Atletico have approval from Carrasco to renew his loan deal

Yannick Carrasco's second spell at Atletico Madrid has, up to now, not been very successful. The Belgian player, that said, still has the support of the La Liga side to stay for another year. 

According to 'AS', both Simeone and Carrasco want to prolong the loan deal until summer 2021. The agreement between the club and the player is complete. 

But Atletico must still negotiate with Dalian Yifang to get his loan spell extended for another year. It will not be easy to persuade the Chinese club as they would prefer to sell Carrasco over sending him out on loan again. 

Simeone, despite having hardly been able to count on the Belgian international, is delighted with the player's attitude on the field and in training prior to La Liga's resumption. 

Carrasco has hardly been able to play this season for Atletico. 156 minutes split across five matches (Real Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Espanyol and Sevilla).
