Atletico drawn with fourth-tier minnows in Spanish Cup

The Catalan minnows play in Spain's Tercera División and are the lowest-ranked side remaining in this season's competition.

Simeone's side secured a tie against a lower-league outfit by virtue of qualifying for the Champions Legaue last season, with LaLiga sides only entering at the last-32 stage and the draw weighted according to club stature.

Sant Andreu will be at home at the first leg on October 31st, with their 6,563-seater Narcís Sala ground likely to come as something of a culture clash to Atletico's horde of international stars. The second leg will take place at the Wanda Metrpolitano on December 5th.

Atletico have a point to prove in the Copa del Rey having crashed out to eventual finalists Sevilla at the quarter-final stage last season.

Sant Andreu have yet to win a game in normal time on their way to the Round of 32, beating fellow Catalans Cornellà 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the first round and needing extra time to claim narrow 1-0 wins over Gernika and Calahorra respectively.
