Aston Villa emerge as favourites to sign Ampadu on loan

Aston Villa are supposedly extremely keen on signing Ethan Ampadu on loan next season, with the Chelsea man looking to get more game time next season.

Ampadu played just 5 times this season at Chelsea, which is less than the number of games he played in for Wales, with Ampadu now a regular starter for Ryan Giggs.

The Welshman has so far only started one game in the Premier League, but Aston Villa are ready to give him the opportunity to play at the top level of English football. 

The decision is likely to be delayed however until a new manager is announced, with Maurizio Sarri likely to leave for Juventus. Frank Lampard is the favourite for the role.
