Arsenal to renew Nelson before loaning him out

Reiss Nelson's Arsenal contract runs until 2023. However, for the 2021-22 season, the right winger will not have a place in Arsenal's squad. 

The club, therefore, are looking to use the final days of the transfer window to sell him. That said, they are trying to get him to sign a new contract. 

'The Sun' says that Arsenal's plan with Nelson is clear: they want to loan him out so that he gets match practice. However, they will not let him leave the Gunners as they are aware of his talent. 

The latest reports suggest that Arsenal have offered him to Leicester. He would form part of their strategy to try and get hold of Maddison.
