Arsenal set to trigger Manolas release clause

Arsenal seem destined to improve their defensive woes this season, after a season of some mediocre defending by the Gunners.
Kostas Manolas has emerged as Arsenal's prime target, with the Greek international able to partner up with his compatriot Sokratis Papasthathopoulos should he join the London side.
According to Il Messaggero, Manolas, 27, could join Arsenal with a reduced release clause should Roma fail to finish in the top 4 and qualify for the Champions League, with the reported release clause standing at £31million.
Manolas is also seemingly wanted by Manchester United, who themselves are looking to repair some defensive woes in a topsy-turvy campaign for the Manchester side.
Arsenal conceded 51 Premier League goals this season, fewer than Leicester, Everton and Wolves.
It appears likely that both Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be on their way out of the London club this summer.
