Arsenal see off Bodo, sailing clear at top of group

Arteta's men arrived in Norway already top of their Europa League group, and the London side continued their recent run of good form, imposing themselves by one goal away from home. Bukayo Saka's first half goal was enough to see of the Norwegian hosts in the fourth matchday of the Europa League 2022/23. Some may argue that it was a lucky finish, with his original shot rebounding off the sliding Bodo defender, back on to his chest, and then finally finding its way into net, after arching over the keeper, powerless to do anything.
Saka continued playing well, leading most of the Arsenal attacks, until Arteta opted to rest him and change up the squad. The first half brought semi-chances for both teams, but both defences managed to remain firm and not let the opponent in.
Despite the second half offering more chances for the home side as they slowly increased the pressure, it was to no avail as they remained 0-1 down. Bodo Glimt undoutedbly had the best of the second half's opportunities, with Veltesen going close on a matter of occasions. However, they failed to seriously challenge Turner once in the Arsenal goal, never really showing many signs of urgency.
Arteta's men are now sat comfortably at the top of their Europa League group, continuing their perfect record in the competition. The Gunners are now on a six match winning streak in all competitions, and will look to extend that on Sunday against Leeds.
