Arsenal receive double fitness boost ahead of crucial Manchester City showdown

Arsenal have received a major boost ahead of their crucial Premier League clash with Manchester City as both Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino returned to training on Tuesday.

Both midfielders missed Saturday's win over Wolves. Odegaard missed the game due to illness and Merino was injured in training last week. 

Their return is a huge relief for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who will be able to field his best possible XI against Guardiola's side at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. 

Kai Havertz, who appeared to be struggling at the end of the Wolves game, was also in training. 

The availability of these key players strengthens Arsenal's midfield options as they prepare for what could be a decisive game in the title race. 

Arsenal will be looking to avenge their earlier defeat to Manchester City and remain in contention for the title, so the return of Odegaard and Merino is crucial.
