Arsenal preparing to lock in Ethan Nwaneri with five-year deal

Ethan Nwaneri has long been regarded as one of Arsenal's most exciting prospects but recently exceeded expectations after stepping in to fill in for Bukayo Saka's absence due to a hamstring injury.
Having turned 18 today on Friday, Mikel Arteta's side wants to lock in the youngster's future in north London, preparing to put a new five-year deal on the table to increase his stay until 2030, 'Mail Sport' reports.
Nwaneri's current contract with the Gunners remains valid until 2027 but it is understood that the club want to ward off any potential interest from rival teams, especially after Chelsea and Man City made previous attempts to sign the wonderkid.
The Englishman made history on 18 September 2022 by becoming the youngest player to appear in the Premier League at the age of 15 years and 181 days but has only sealed his place in the first-team this season after impressing at youth level.
