Arsenal and Sevilla paid tribute to Reyes

It has now been three years since the death of Jose Antonio Reyes, who left us on 1st June 2019 in a terrible car accident. But the much loved Spanish player lives in the memory of all of us. 

And he also lives in the memory of Arsenal and Sevilla. Both clubs paid tribute to Reyes in the friendly which both teams played in England this Saturday.

Apart from Arsenal's thumping 6-0 win over the Spanish outfit, both clubs came together to pay tribute to the former Spanish player, who played for Sevilla for 10 years. He also came through the Sevilla academy, but he was also at Arsenal for three years.

Before the match, Arteta and Julen Lopetegui swapped shirts with the Arsenal number 9 and Sevilla number 10. Furthermore, in the 9th minute of the contest, the fans gave the late Reyes a standing ovation.
