Argentina dominate early scoring charts at Club World Cup

After two rounds of group stage action, fans have been treated to an impressive 99 goals in total. The century mark is expected to be reached during the Group B deciders—Seattle vs PSG and Atletico vs Botafogo—and if trends continue, it's likely to be an Argentinian who nets it.
Indeed, the tournament has so far danced to a tango rhythm. Angel Di Maria has led the Argentinian charge with three goals to his name. The veteran Benfica winger, set to return to Rosario Central once the tournament concludes, is proving that age is just a number as he continues to shine at 37.
Hot on his heels is Inter striker Lautaro Martinez with two goals. Meanwhile, a host of fellow countrymen have chipped in with one apiece, including Nicolas Otamendi, Rodrigo Battaglia, Enzo Fernandez, Juan Pablo Freytes, Valentin Carboni, Jose Manuel Lopez, Facundo Colidio, Sebastian Driussi, Maxi Meza, and none other than Lionel Messi—who left his mark with a trademark free-kick.
The most recent addition to the list is Claudio Echeverri, who curled in a stunning free-kick during Manchester City's 6-0 demolition of Al-Ain. Just 19 years old, Echeverri has joined elite company in style.
With 16.16% of the tournament's goals scored by Argentinians, Brazil and France share second place with 10 each.
For Brazil, the goals have come courtesy of Igor Jesus (twice), Jair Paula, Luiz Araujo, Bruno Henrique, Danilo, Wallace Yan, Gustavo Nonato, Keno, and Lucas Ribeiro.
France's tally, meanwhile, includes a trio from Michael Olise, two from Kingsley Coman, another two from Randal Kolo Muani, plus strikes from Sacha Boey, Rayan Cherki and Mayulu.
Germany sit just behind, with eight goals so far—three of which came from the tournament's standout youngster, Jamal Musiala, who hit a hat-trick against Auckland City.
