Amorim backs Hojlund to break goal drought despite Real Sociedad stalemate

Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund continues to search for his first goal since November, but manager Ruben Amorim remains optimistic about the striker's prospects. Following the 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg, Amorim lauded Hojlund's tireless efforts on the pitch.
"He's trying really hard. He gave everything. He makes the runs," Amorim stated in his post-match press conference, highlighting the 22-year-old's commitment to the team's cause. Despite Joshua Zirkzee scoring United's only goal, Amorim was keen to emphasise Hojlund's contribution to the overall performance.
The Portuguese coach believes Hojlund's persistence will eventually pay off, and urges the striker to maintain his current level of effort. "The other things are going to appear in the right moment. He has to continue to play, not be anxious in that position," Amorim said.
Amorim also highlighted Hojlund's ability to capitalise on space against high defensive lines, which he sees as a valuable asset to the team's attacking strategy.
