All different, all unique: Sancho's rare record of eight separate finals

In the remarkable journey of Jadon Sancho, who first came to prominence in Manchester City's youth ranks before moving to Borussia Dortmund, the English winger has already featured in seven different finals – none repeated.
The Conference League now opens a new chapter as he faces Real Betis in the title decider set to take place in Poland. At 25 years old, the player's professional career has included spells at Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Chelsea.
His peak arguably came during the 2019/20 season, when he played in his first senior final. That was the German Supercup, which Dortmund won against Niko Kovac's Bayern Munich. Sancho was pivotal, assisting Paco Alcacer for the opener and scoring the decisive second goal shortly afterwards.
In 2020/21, he reached another final, this time the DFB-Pokal (German Cup), again with Borussia Dortmund. They faced RB Leipzig but were beaten 4-1 despite his standout performance with a brace and an assist.
His next final came on the international stage with England in the Euro 2020 final. However, he was only on the pitch briefly during extra time and missed one of the penalties that ultimately condemned England.
As a Manchester United player, Sancho contested and won the EFL Cup final in 2023, coming off the bench for just seven minutes in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle.
He started in the FA Cup final that same season, which United lost 2-1 to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Returning to Borussia Dortmund in 2023/24, Sancho reached the Champions League final, only to be defeated 2-0 by Real Madrid. He played 87 minutes but missed out on European glory.
In the current 2024/25 season, Sancho made a brief appearance for Manchester United in the Community Shield, which City won on penalties. Subsequently, he transferred to Chelsea, where he has participated in several Conference League matches, now reaching the eighth distinct final of his career.
Remarkably, he has yet to appear in the same final twice.
