FT: ALGERIA 2-1 NIGERIA! With the last kick of the game, Riyad Mahrez has put Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations final. Ecstasy for Algeria, heartbreak for Nigeria...what a finish to an incredible day of sport.
  • 90'
Mahrez steps up and curls an inch-perfect effort across goal and out of the reach of Akpeyi into the top left corner. What a strike.
  • 90'
GOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL! MAHREZ HAS DONE IT! WHAT A GOALLLLLLLLLL!

Ndidi commits a foul on the edge of the box, and Mahrez has a chance to put Algeria in the final with this free-kick...
  • 90'
Bennacer hits the bar! The Algerian midfielder strikes a powerful left-footed effort from 25 yards that beat Akpeyi but not the crossbar. So close to winning it...
  • 90'
Four minutes of added time in Cairo...
  • 88'
Feghouli has the chance to win it for Algeria...but he blazes his effort from the edge of the box over the crossbar. That was a big, big chance for the former West Ham winger.
  • 87'
Onyekuru finds space in the area and shoots, but his effort flies over the bar.
  • 86'
Belaili seems to be taken out by Awaziem as he charges into the box down the left, but the referee points for a goal kick.
  • 83'
This second half has been very poor - no chances have been created from open play and it looks as if we're limping towards extra-time...
  • 80'
Iwobi tries another low shot from distance. This time it's on target, but it's easy enough for M'Bolhi to collect.
  • 78'
Henry Onyekuru replaces Chukwueze for Nigeria.

  • 68'
Feghouli goes into the book. Not immediately clear why.
  • 68'
VAR review ongoing here after Etebo's attempt from distance hit Mandi's arm. The referee is going to watch it, but it didn't look like a penalty.
  • 66'
Nigeria are huffing and puffing, but Algeria are defending resolutely and not giving them much so far. It might need something special from the Super Eagles to draw level.
  • 62'
The ball falls to Feghouli after an Algeria free-kick, but he hooks a difficult volleyed effort wide from the right corner of the box.
  • 58'
Iwobi charges from deep and shoots from around 25 yards, but he scuffs his effort and it rolls out for a goal kick.
  • 57'
Guedioura goes down screaming after Musa stands on his foot. He should be ok to carry on, however.
  • 55'
Musa miscontrols and brings a nice Nigeria move to an end.
  • 52'
Etebo takes the free-kick low but it's easily cleared by Algeria. Not too sure what he was trying there.
  • 51'
Bounedjah gets a yellow for a sliding tackle on Iwobi. Not actually sure he touched the Arsenal winger there, and he certainly isn't happy with the decision.
  • 47'
Bennacer has to leave the pitch for an issue related to his socks...not exactly sure what's wrong with them.
  • 46'
Nigeria get us back underway in Cairo! Can they get themselves back into this game?
  • 45'
HT: ALGERIA 1-0 NIGERIA! Algeria take a deserved lead into the break, then. They've dominated this game in terms of chance creation, but needed their opponents to finish for them after spurning several good chances. See you in 15 for the second half!
  • 43'
Iwobi looks to run at Zeffane down the left, but the Algeria defender does well and forces the ball out for a throw-in.
  • 40'
That was excellent work from Mahrez down the right in the build up to the goal, by the way. The City winger beat Collins all ends up with a couple of nice stepovers before flashing in that cross that flicked off a recovering Collins and off of Troost-Ekong.
  • 39'
GOAAAAAAAL! Now we have an own goal! Troost-Ekong, who scored Nigeria's winner against South Africa, goes from hero to villain as he diverts Mahrez's deflected cross from the right off his own hip and into the back of the net.
  • 38'
Chance for Ighalo! Great work from Iwobi down the right before the Arsenal man cuts back to Ighalo on the edge of the box, but he drags his effort wide of the far post. Musa may have been a better option to his left, there.
  • 36'
A flowing Nigeria counter sees Iwobi charge through the midfield and find Ighalo, but Guedioura does well to cut it out just as the Super Eagles looked to break into the area.
  • 35'
Nearly an own goal to match the one we saw in the Senegal game! Collins chases Bounedjah down as he is through on goal, and manages to poke the ball away from the Algerian striker and onto the roof of his own net.
  • 32'
Bounedjah goes down after a direct run in the area, but the referee tells him to get up. Troost-Ekong was just too strong for him there.
  • 31'
Chukwueze curls it over the wall but straight at M'Bolhi.
  • 30'
Free-kick for Nigeria on the edge of the box after a Guedioura handball...
  • 28'
Another big chance for Bounedjah! He gets onto one of the long balls sent forward and has a one-on-one with Akpeyi, but he fires straight at the Nigeria goalkeeper.
  • 27'
Feghouli tries to set Mahrez away in space down the right, but he overhits his pass and wastes the attack.
  • 22'
Lots of early, quick balls forward which aren't causing too much trouble for either side at the moment.
  • 19'
Nigeria's first shot on target as Musa cuts in from the left and tries to curl one, but it's comfortable for M'Bolhi who catches without fuss.
  • 18'
Now Awaziem misses a through ball down the left and Belaili races towards goal, but his attempt to find Bounedjah is snuffled out by Troost-Ekong.
  • 17'
Awaziem gets up at the back post to meet Chukwueze's cross from the right, but he can only head it behind for a goal-kick.
  • 15'
Woah - how are Algeria not in front? Bennacer's inch-perfect cross finds an unmarked Bensebaini six-yards out, but he somehow headers over and gives Nigeria another big let-off.
  • 14'
Belaili, who's started brightly down the left side, is pulled down by Awaziem and waves the air card to ask for a yellow. The referee doesn't listen, but Awaziem looks like he may be in for tough evening.
  • 10'
Algeria continue to probe, with Bennacer's shot being well blocked in the area after Mahrez's cross was palmed away.
  • 7'
HUGE CHANCE FOR ALGERIA! Belaili's curling ball from the left reaches Bounedjah at the back post, but he somehow nudges wide with his hip with the goal gaping. Shocking miss, that.
  • 4'
A mazy run from Musa, who caused South Africa so many problems without any end product the other day, but he is dispossessed as he looked to cut in from the left.
  • 2'
Nothing comes of the resulting free-kick and Algeria look to ease their way into the game with some early possession.
  • 1'
Ighalo goes down hurt after an early foul by Guedioura in midfield, and Nigeria load the box for the free-kick.
  • 1'

The two captains are the two number sevens, Riyad Mahrez and Ahmed Musa, and they shake hands in the middle of the pitch. As has been the case throughout the rest of the tournament, hardly anyone as turned up to see this match in Egypt. Sore losers?
  • PRVW
The winners, by the way, will face Senegal in this stadium on Friday after they snuck past Tunisia in extra-time just a matter of minutes ago.
  • PRVW
The teams are out on the pitch and the anthems are being sung...
  • PRVW
Algeria, on the other hand, make one change to the side that snuck past Ivory Coast on penalties. Youcef Attal is replaced by Mehdi Zeffane at right-back, but Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez will be the star attraction for a side hoping to reach their first AFCON final since 1990.
  • PRVW
So, Nigeria are unchanged from their dramatic 2-1 quarter-final win against South Africa. Arsenal's Alex Iwobi will be key for them in attack, whilst Odion Ighalo's three goals see him sit in joint-first place in the goalscoring charts.
  • PRVW
