Alexis to sign his contract with Marseille next week

Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of becoming a new Olympique Marseille player. The Chilean is set to sign a two-year contract with the French side after securing his departure from Inter Milan, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The announcement could be made official within the next week.
The problem that the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker was having, among others, was the amount to be paid for the remaining years he had with the Italian side. According to the newspaper 'Ole', the striker will receive seven million euros in compensation to leave Inter.
Sanchez had offers from Qatar, Spain, Turkey and even Brazil to choose his next destination, but he opted for Marseille because he was interested in playing in the next edition of the Champions League.
His last season was not his best, playing only nine starts out of 39 games. He scored nine goals and contributed four assists to win the Coppa d'Italia with Inter.
