Al Hilal's big money offer fails to lure Zidane from home

Zinedine Zidane has turned down an offer to coach Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal worth "well over €100 million" for a single season, according to L'Equipe on Sunday.
The French sports daily notes that Al Hilal are searching for a high-profile manager ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, starting on 14 June, following the dismissal of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus in May.
Zidane, who openly aspires to become France's national team coach once current manager Didier Deschamps' contract expires in a year, politely declined the proposal, reportedly "with his usual tact", citing other projects in mind, the report adds.
L'Equipe also reports that Al Hilal will now focus their attention on Simone Inzaghi, whom they had approached previously but who delayed giving an answer until after last night's Champions League final.
Zidane, 52, 1998 Ballon d'Or winner and a prominent figure on the touchline after his record-breaking three consecutive Champions League titles with Real Madrid (2016-18), has opted to patiently wait at home for Deschamps' departure — an announcement Zidane himself made last January.
