Al Ahli could set up potential reunion between Messi and Ronaldo

Saudi Arabia wants the two players who have dominated football in the last two decades. With Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, it is now Al-Ahli who have made a big offer to Leo Messi.
The Argentinian's contract with Inter Miami expires at the end of the year on 31 December 2025. After that, he is free to sign for any club he wants. And that is where the Saudi Arabian club comes in, as reported by 'L'Equipe', which has knocked on the doors of the Argentine star.
Al-Hilal already wanted to sign Messi in 2023, when he decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain in search of another destination. However, the striker decided to move to MLS, to Inter Miami, where he shares a team with Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
The end of Messi's contract at the end of 2025 and the World Cup in 2026 could be decisive in the Argentine's decision on his immediate future. Argentina are defending the crown they won in 2022 and for that they want to count on the best version of Leo.
There has already been talk of a possible departure of the Argentine in search of a more competitive league than MLS. In fact, it was demonstrated at the Club World Cup, as despite causing a surprise in the group stage, they were badly outclassed by PSG.
That lack of competitiveness in MLS may push Messi to leave in search of another destination. And with the Saudi Pro League on the rise following the signing of top-level players, Al-Ahli want to use the World Cup to convince him.
