2023 is just around the corner and teams are already starting to plan for a new year. Ajax have made the decision to dispense with their player Daley Blind. His contract was due to expire on 30th June, but the two parties have reached an agreement to put an end to eleven seasons.
The 32-year-old former Manchester United star played every match of the Netherlands run to the World Cup quarter-finals in Qatar where he scored a goal against the United States.
Ajax sporting director Van der Sar thanked the defender for his dedication: "Over the course of the last few days, we reached an agreement with Daley to terminate his contract. I hope he can find another club to end his successful career with. Together with Daley, we have decided on a match in the ArenA where he can say a proper goodbye to the supporters."
In addition, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Royal Antwerp are interested in signing him on a free.
