Aarons confirms Barca's interest

Although in the end Sergiño Dest arrived at Barcelona, next to the American, other players were considered for right back, but one way or another, they did not materialise.

Barcelona had the name Max Aarons, a 20-year-old player from Norwich City, on their agenda in the last transfer market, and he spoke of the interest that Koeman's team had in him.

"When the negotiations between the two clubs broke down, it was very clear to me that I couldn't break down. I'm a Norwich player, it's my job and I have to be focused to do my best," the Englishman admitted to Spanish journalist Guillem Balagué.

"The most important thing for me at the moment is my club, I must make the effort for my teammates, for the coach, for the fans and also for me", added the player, that in this beginning of this season has played a total of 13 games with his team, in which he is a starter on the right wing.

In spite of being in the Championship, the player is a jewel of English football and is not likely to remain in the lower levels for long.
