"A few seconds in which all I thought about was protecting my daughters"

Ciro Immobile was involved in a serious car crash on Sunday. 'AGTW' reported that the Italian striker crashed into a tram which "went through a red light" and his vehicle was destroyed.

Fortunately, it was only a scare, but he suffered a thoracic spinal trauma with a compound fracture of the right 11th rib, according to Lazio's medical staff.

Beyond this, Ciro Immobile thought only of protecting his daughters, as reported by 'Lazio News': "An incredible scare, a few seconds in which I thought only of protecting my girls. A nightmare, I feared for them. Luckily, we are here both us and the tram driver to talk about it".

The striker feared the worst if it had been with another vehicle: "If we had been in the small car, I don't know what could have happened... we had a very bad time". The Italian club estimates a 15-day absence for their star player.
