On Wednesday, the governing body of Portuguese football announced in a statement that the judicial police had raided its headquarters in connection with business dealings from previous terms - between 2016 and 2020 - due to the possibility of events "potentially involving crimes of active corruption, favouritism, passive corruption, economic participation in businesses and tax fraud."
