Nigeria announce provisional World Cup squad

Among those featured in manager Gernot Rohr's squad are a handful of English top-tier stars. The German works as the technical adviser of Nigeria's Super Eagles, controlled by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Of the Premier League stars, Chelsea winger Victor Moses has been called up alongside Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho and Arsenal's Alex Iwobi to spearhead Rohr's attacking options.
They will also be joined by former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel who currently plays for Tianjin TEDA FC and Iheanacho's Foxes team-mate Wilfred Ndidi in ahead of the tournament in Russia.
All international managers will be expected to produce a whittled down squad list of 23-men in the coming weeks.

Goalkeepers: Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho, Dele Ajiboye.
Defenders: William Ekong, Leon Balogun, Olaoluwa Aina, Kenneth Omeruo, Bryan Idowu, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile, Tyronne Ebuehi, Stephen Eze.
Midfielders: Mikel John Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi, Uche Agbo, Oghenekaro Etebo, Joel Obi, Mikel Agu.
