Madrid new signing Fran Garcia 'proud' to be able to return home

Spaniard Fran Garcia commented during his presentation as a new Real Madrid player that "it is an honour to be able to return" to what was his home, as he spent seven years at the club's youth academy, and that he hopes to "continue making history" at the club.
"It is a great joy for me to be here, to be able to return to my home. Thank you very much to the president, the board, family and friends. The truth is that I'm proud to be able to return to my home and continue to grow here, and hopefully we can continue to make history at this incredible club. Hala Madrid!" said Fran Garcia at the presentation ceremony after Florentino Perez's welcome speech.
The left-back was the first reinforcement for next season announced by Real Madrid and arrives from Rayo Vallecano, where he played for the last three seasons.
Fran Garcia will wear the number 20 shirt for Real Madrid, which until now was owned by Brazilian Vinicius Junior, who takes the legendary number 7 shirt vacated by Belgian Eden Hazard.
