"It will be difficult and I am worried" - Luis Enrique on PSG's UCL slip up

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique admitted that he is worried about his side's Champions League future after being held to a draw at home to PSV, but he was optimistic and said he has confidence in the mentality of his players.

"Of course I'm worried about my team's chances (of qualification), but I like the mentality I see in my players," the coach told 'Canal Plus television'. The coach said the draw "was complicated" for PSG, who now have four points after the first three group games.

Asked whether the club, who saw Kylian Mbappe leave this summer, lacked a great striker, Luis Enrique replied: "I think we are the team that creates the most chances in the Champions League, or one of the most.

"I have no doubt that the team is in line with what I want, they play the football I want," he said. "Tonight we were better, we had more chances and we deserved to win, but this is football," he added. In a press conference, the coach assured that "it is difficult to accept a result like this" and insisted that they were superior to their opponents and deserved the win.

"We created many more chances than our opponents, we deserved to win the game, but we didn't get the decisive finish. I try to demand that the initiative of the game is better than the opponent and we did that, and I think we deserved to win. But sometimes football is capricious, this draw is unfair and we could even have lost," he said.

"We have the toughest group and we have to be ready to progress. It will be difficult and I'm worried," he said. Luis Enrique assured that he is in charge at PSG and refused to talk about any particular player.

"I would put out the same line-up again, this pessimism is because of an unfair result, but I'm calm," he said. "There is room for improvement, but I have no reproach for the players, at half-time I told them that we had to continue in the same vein," he said.
