Gerrard to turn down MK Dons job

Milton Keynes surprisingly emerged as Gerrard's next potential destination after it was reported earlier in the week that the Liverpool legend was in talks with the League One club over the vacant manager's position. It was then reported on Saturday that the former England captain had been offered the job and had until Monday to decide whether he would accept, and it appears that Gerrard has made his mind up.
According to 'ESPN FC', the ex-Liverpool and LA Galaxy star will turn down the opportunity to succeed Karl Robinson as the manager of MK Dons.
Upon leaving LA Galaxy, Gerrard said that he had a number of options, some of which would see him continue playing, some would see him retire and possibly become a coach.
The 36-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic, while Newcastle - and a potential reunion with Rafa Benitez - was also another reported option.
