Spurs chairman Daniel Levy set to decide Ange Postecoglou’s future

After the open-top bus parade in London, Ange Postecoglou promised that “season three will be better than season two”, where he boasted of always winning a title. He delivered with the Europa League, Spurs' first trophy in 17 years. But there may not be a third chapter for the Australian at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to 'Football Insider' and journalist Sacha Tavolieri, club owner Daniel Levy has reportedly decided to sack Postecoglou after a historic season on the one hand, but a disastrous one on the other. The London club risked everything for the UEL and finished the Premier League in a shameful 17th place, having won in only one of the last 12 rounds.
It is true that injuries wrecked Tottenham all season, but the team lacked identity and would have suffered considerably more had it not been for the failure of the clubs below them. Leicester City marked the relegation with only 25 points, while the Spurs finished with 38 after conceding 65 goals and signing their negative record of defeats with 22 in 38 games.
Tottenham's version through 'The Telegraph' is that there is still no decision made, and that everything is pending a meeting over the next week between Ange Postecoglou and the London board. Meanwhile, the other sources cited say that this meeting will serve to negotiate the end of the contract of the Greek-born Australian, who has two more seasons signed -until 2027-.
In the meantime, several names are already being bandied about to replace Postecoglou and lead Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League. There is talk of the possible return of Mauricio Pochettino, but also of Thomas Frank (Brenford), Marco Silva (Fulham) or the Spaniard Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth).
