Madrid not willing to pay crazy figures for Davies, but keep working on the deal

Real Madrid are clear that their next signing to reinforce their defence will be Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, who has been one of the most sought-after left-backs in the transfer market in recent years. 

According to recent reports the Canadian defender is not willing to renew his contract with the Bavarian club and will therefore become a free agent when his contract with his current club expires in 2025. 

That is why the current Bundesliga champions are interested in selling him this summer, as they are not willing to let one of their most prized players leave for free. That is why Real Madrid have the upper hand in negotiations with the Allianz Arena outfit. 

'Los Blancos' have already reached an agreement on personal terms with Davies, but it remains for the Spanish club to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich, which is not going to be easy. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 14-time Champions League winners are still working on the Canadian's arrival but will not pay crazy figures for him, as there are only 12 months left on his contract.
