Madrid close the signing of Alvaro Carreras

The signing of Alvaro Carreras by Real Madrid is on the verge. According to information revealed on Thursday by 'COPE', the Benfica right-back has been signed by Real Madrid for the next five or six seasons.
The aforementioned source assures that the only thing missing for the signing to become official is the exchange of the respective documents, which will also reveal each of the contractual details.
The 22-year-old already knows what it is like to come through the Madrid structure, as he played in the youth ranks before leaving for England, where he joined Manchester United's youth team. After loan spells at Preston North End and Granada, he arrived at Benfica, where he has settled this season.
Carreras managed just one goal and one assist in 16 appearances, but this season he has substantially improved his record. He has reached 50 official games, with 4,355 minutes played, and has scored four goals and five assists.
