“Lamine will win the Ballon d'Or, he's going to be a legend”

Spain will seek to add another title to its trophy cabinet in the Nations League, a competition in which it defends its crown. In June, 'La Roja' faces the 'Final Four' of the tournament, with France as its rival in the semifinals.
National coach Luis de la Fuente attended a press conference on Monday, May 26th, minutes after the announcement of the list of called-up players, which included the return of Isco, currently playing for Betis, and the absence of Joan Garcia, Espanyol's goalkeeper.
“I have never looked at the identity card to call someone. It was the right time because I think Isco can bring us things. He will add a lot. He has always been in the pre-lists. He could have been in the Euro. Isco, Pedri and Olmo playing together? If we consider it appropriate, we will make them play together”, began the coach when questioned about the Betis player.
After that, another of the big topics of the press conference was Lamine Yamal, who goes into this Nations League on the back of an extraordinary season. De le Fuente gave praise to the young 'Cules' gem, whom he sees winning the Ballon d'Or in the future.
“He is touched by a wand. You have to know how to handle him and manage him. He is a young kid, but very mature for his age. The way he behaves makes him look older. That's very good when it comes to dealing with complicated situations. He can be a legendary player, although the best Lamine is yet to be seen”, he began about the No 19.
“If I see him winning the Ballon d'Or? To be worthy of such an award? There are very good players too. These awards are decided by details. I don't know if he'll win it this year, but I'm sure he'll win one. The most important thing is that he continues to work as he has done so far and be humble. If he does that, he will have many options,” he added.
