Chelsea open to keeping Sancho after reconsidering transfer stance

Chelsea have changed their stance on Jadon Sancho's future and are now willing to negotiate his continuity at Stamford Bridge.
In recent weeks, there had been speculation that the London club would pay a £5 million penalty to return the player to Manchester United. However, the Blues board have begun talks with the player's entourage to explore a deal that would allow him to stay.
The club would be interested in retaining Sancho as long as wage terms can be agreed that fit in with the internal structure. Under the terms of the loan, Chelsea are obliged to buy him for £25m, although they can opt out of the deal by paying the aforementioned penalty.
The final decision will depend on the negotiations between the two parties and the economic fit of the operation for the club, which expects the player to lower his salary demands as they are not willing to pay him what he currently earns at the Red Devils.
