Ancelotti and Modric receive emotional Bernabeu tribute

Real Madrid fans wanted to take advantage of Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Modric's last day to bid them a fitting farewell. The North End displayed an impressive banner dedicated to the Italian coach with a "Thank you, Carletto", while the 'Fondo Sur' focused on the Croatian with a "Thank you, Legend".

Two images that shone throughout the Merengues stadium. Both the coach and the Balkan received the affection of their fans after everything they have given to the white shirt. It was a very special match for two people who will never forget what the Madrid crest means to them.

In the days leading up to the game, rumours had been swirling about the possibility of a big farewell for both players. It was said and done. Modric himself came on as a starter and felt the warmth of the fans from the moment he stepped out onto the pitch to warm up.
